GGM Reyes was not only a skilled martial artist but also a dedicated keeper of knowledge. Recognizing the importance of documentation, Sijo Emperado appointed him as the official Kajukenbo Secretary, responsible for preserving written records of Kajukenbo knowledge. His commitment to this role ensured the essence of the art would be passed down through generations and is still practiced today at RKK schools in Vacaville and Memphis along with many of his students who formed their own schools.
