Sigung Kelly Chavez began training at the Three Oaks Community Center in the Women’s Self-Defense classes instructed by Senior Grandmaster Alan Reyes, in 2004. Immediately drawn to the mental and physical benefits, she quickly immersed herself in multiple classes seeking ways to refine her techniques and strengthen her abilities. Earning her student black belt in 2008, she has been influenced and inspired by many peers throughout the years. She continues to train and teach classes at the Three Oaks Community Center under Grand Master Ed Zickowski, where she remains dedicated to the continuity of the lineage and legacy of Reyes Kenpo Karate and to the original knowledge of Kajukenbo.

HISTORY
Working in education for over 16 years, Sigung Kelly understands the benefits that come with dedication to self-defense training. In 2005, she enrolled her first of three children into classes and soon all were training under the instruction of Senior Grandmaster Reyes. Through his rigorous training, high expectations, and the family-friendly atmosphere of the Reyes Kenpo Karate, they eventually obtained adult ranks. Rooted in Kajukenbo principles and techniques, today their drive, adaptability, and resilience, continue to persevere.
